Born in Hilo, he was a computer technician at EAH Housing in Mililani, Oahu, and a former member of AYSO, Konawaena Baseball Team and Hui Kai Baseball Club. Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 1 at Annunciation Catholic Church, 65-1235 Kawaihae Rd., Waimea, for a 10 a.m. Mass; internment to follow at Homelani Memorial Park in Hilo. Casual attire. Lillian Kaleialoha Russo, 89, of Hilo died Tuesday. Born in Honolulu, she retired as a Pearl Harbor Navy Exchange supervisor. Celebration of life today at Volcano New Hope Church. Visitation at 4:30 p.m.; service at 5:30 p.m. Survived by sons, Stanley (Joann) Gomes of Honolulu and Peyton Siliado of Kauai; daughter, Iwalani (Moku) Young; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Jeffrey Tsuyoshi “Sumo” Namihira, 54, of Aiea, Oahu, died Jan. 15 at Pali Momi Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was an airline pilot and retired from the Hawaii Air National Guard. Visitation at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Funeral service at 6 p.m. Aloha attire. No flowers. Survived by spouse, Robyn Kehaunani Namihira of Aiea, Oahu; sons, Lance T. Namihira of Aiea, Oahu, and Braeden Nakamoto of Honolulu; daughter, Carly A. Atsushi Yamano, 86, of Hilo died Jan. 8 at Queen’s Medical Center. Born in Honaunau, he was a retired self-employed painting contractor and a U.S. Army veteran. He was also a member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin, Anela Kumiai and Hawaii Shima Kumamoto Doshi Kai. Visitation at 3 p.m. Feb. 2 at Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin. Service at 4 p.m. No flowers. Survived by wife, Toshiko Yamano; daughter, Sharyn (Eric) Ohi; brothers, Hisashi (Helen) Yamano and Takao Yamano; sisters, Shigeko Morihara, Itsuko Yamano and Mitsue (Franklin) Suzuki; three grandchildren; numerous aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
